OPT is committed to serving our senior viewers through information and education. The Greene County Senior Citizen’s Service Tax Fund has helped fund a variety of projects and services that help meet the needs of seniors in our area, including:

General

The ARC of the Ozarks
Provides residential, employment, community integration, day programming and recreation services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Provides ombudsman services to all residents of all long-term care facilities through advocacy and education.

Provides services for individuals and caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s, including support groups, educational sessions, online resources, and a 24-7 helpline with information and advice.

Legal Aid

Legal Services of Southern Missouri
Provides legal representation for seniors on a variety of civil matters, including healthcare directives, simple wills, estate planning, guardianships, divorces, tenant issues, and consumer fraud.

Transportation

OATS Transit
Provides specialized transportation for citizens of all ages.  Helpful for medical appointments, shopping trips or other errands.  Their vehicles can accommodate walkers and wheelchairs, and services pets are welcome.
